The Cowboy Fanbulance came to us via ebay.  We were shocked and surprised when our bid was accepted by a gentleman in Lancaster, New Hampshire that was in charge of selling surplus property for the City of Lancaster.  The Fanbulance was formerly a fire/rescue vehicle for the small city.  The challenge was how to take delivery.  We were able to get a good friend to fly to New Hampshire and drive theFanbulance all the way to Tulsa, OK (approx 1700 miles).  The trip took two days and our friend “camped out” in the back of the fanbulance in the winter on the way.  At least we now knew the heater worked!  The Fanbulance was delivered to Tulsa on a day when the snow was falling so we also knew the wipers worked.  We immediately found a heated shop home for it and began working on it.  To our surprise, and having purchased it sight unseen, everything worked!  The only thing left for us to do was to begin to make it the ultimate tailgating vehicle.  Cowboys don’t do anything half way so we worked all the way up to 2am in the morning on the Friday night before the first home game with Georgia to get it finished.  After sleeping only a few hours we woke up on Saturday to make the trip over to Stillwater for the big debut.  We were delighted to see all the fans passing us by on the highway with their guns up, honking and waiving (the fanbulance top speed is 63mph on a flat grade).  We were also delighted to see a choice parking spot waiting on us (thanks to our good friend Jami).  The rest, my friends, is yet to come.  We hope to see as many cowboy fans as possible come by and see the rig and meet its caretakers.  Go Pokes!
